Join Valentine for another extended practice (2.5 hours) dedicated to Handstands (Adho Mukha Vriksasana).
Standing on your hands can feel empowering and elevating. In this workshop, we will try to take control over the challenges of finding balance on our hands, to maybe experience that perfect moment of oneness and calm - creating lightness as we find our core centre.
What to expect:
- a good warm up (including some breath work), with a focus on wrists, shoulders and core
- a strong flow with preparatory poses
- how to fall safely
- different technical approaches to handstands (both foundational and detailed)
- alignment work
- wall work
- different ways of entering handstands
- a cooling ending of practice
- a long soothing savasana
This workshop is for everyone - whether you need to gain confidence to simply kick up or are already able to catch some air on your hands. There will be options for everyone to practice at their own pace.
You can expect a new level of understanding and awareness to unfold. Hopefully you will leave with more confidence on your hands and with new tools to practice at home to take your handstands to the next level.
