A brand new offering at Yoga Luna: Natural Meditation with Timothy Fitzwilliam

This class is designed for beginners and advanced meditators alike. One 25 minute sitting meditation will be the heart of the class. We will start with free movement in order to connect with our bodies, and guidance will be given during the beginning of the sit. Afterwards, the circle will have space for dialog with me about your personal meditation experience.

Come, give yourself the space to explore your inner life, to relax, to learn, to evolve. Along with time for meditation, this class offers teachings and perspective on how to meditate, as well as an opportunity to share and hear how others experience meditation. Our focus will be on bringing our awareness to the present moment, and being curious about our immediate experience, a curiosity led by our felt sense of the moment, not led by our thoughts. The breath will be our main guide. This class is about learning to become intimate with your inner world - your mind, your heart, your soul.

Drawing on 17 years of life devoted to inner awakening, with meditation being my primary tool, what I share is grounded in my personal experience, along with the wisdom of my teachers. I encourage an embodied approach to meditation, where you are free to move, stretch, lay down, or even sleep if that is what your body needs.

Instruction will be given in German, with English translation when needed. Dialog can be in German or English.

About Timothy:

I love to meditate. It’s been a long process of getting to that place for me though.

17 years ago I started to meditate. I often felt overwhelmed by the restlessness of my over-active mind, but I enjoyed the challenge and somehow felt the deep value of learning to control my thinking. I took a radical step back then and withdrew from University and any formal career path and I devoted myself to inner growth, and soul-purpose alignment. I decided I wanted to be happy in life, and I used spiritual community, books, teachers, and schools to help me transform, and feel more whole and healthy as myself. It has been an amazing ride!

For me, life and enlightenment is an endless process of unfoldment, awakening, and natural human evolution. And the tool of meditation, whether on a cushion or chair, or in the middle of a busy street or stressful afternoon, is incredibly valuable and can help guide us to the most fulfilling life that is possible for us.

It is a deep pleasure for me to share my knowledge and experience in the field of meditation, and I look forward to meeting you at Yoga Luna.
